Succeed at District Chorus
District Chorus auditions are a very important and sometimes nerve-wracking part of musical life for students in the local high school choral programs. This workshop, offered each summer, is an intensive program designed to improve students’ sight singing skills, improve their vocal technique on the audition piece, work musically on the piece and provide a mock audition situation. Broadway Bound Workshop
This annual two-week summer intensive allows students to hone their skills in singing, acting and movement while writing original dialogue and creating dramatic scenes to be featured in a culminating performance. Whether new or experienced in performance technique, students are guided by our teaching artists to add polish to their singing, greater depth to their characterization and increased expressiveness in the use of the body on stage. Each participant is featured as a soloist and ensemble member in the culminating performance, which features selections from the music theater as well as other musical styles used in a theatrical way.
